On what AI thinks I should write about...

The scary cursor on the even-scarier blank computer screen now hovers above a helpful list of AI generated topics for my brand-new writing blog. The suggestions are as follows...
How to cultivate a strong character arc
How to create a daily writing routine that sticks
Balancing working authorship with a chaotic lifestyle
~~~
I need to start by telling y'all (and the 'bots) the cold, hard, truth:
I know how to do exactly none of those things. If I did, I'd be way more successful; you would be reading my nonsense from an impressive hardcover book that paid for my beach house.
If I were to generate an actual list of topics about which I could confidently pen a decent blog post...
How to bounce between fourteen browser tabs and eight different tasks simultaneously
Cooking the perfect box of Kraft Mac and Cheese
How to shed your inhibitions and participate in a silent disco while writing in your favorite coffee shop (to the chagrin and amusement of the baristas and other patrons)
The appropriate level to roast a teenager without making them cry
How to question every single decision you make (seriously, all of them)
To the point, though, I did find a glimmer of an inspiration in the objectively bad AI suggestions. I had the idea to start with its silly little list and to show you in real time why I'm called @writebyaccident (other than my name is super common and none of the social handles worked), and the dreaded FIRST POST became a little less terrifying.
So, thanks, 'bots.
All creation is a journey and journeys must start with either an action or an idea. I personally feel like that journey is mostly me tripping and falling into inspiration as I wander through the chaos that is my life. I started this blog as a budding writer and maturing teacher and coping millennial to help make sense of this journey; because I also feel that, if one meanders with purpose, heading in the general direction of what one is meant to do, inspiration and chaos will naturally evolve into some pretty cool creations. That, in turn, will force a growth spurt and, with luck, one can just lather, rinse, and repeat that cycle. And isn't that the point to...*gestures vaguely*...all of this? To make some pretty cool creations? I like to think so.
So that's me (and this blog) in a nutshell.
If you have it all together, you can read and judge and feel superior.
If you are wandering through life, stumbling into inspiration as you go, you can read and feel seen.
If you liked this post, please share on your socials to peer pressure me into writing more.
If you didn't like this post, feel free to share it to your socials and rant about how horrible I am.
(Unless I know you personally, in which case you should tell me it was "fine")
If you're not quite sure whether you liked this post or not, you're in good company. Come back next time and we'll try again.
Until then, please remember to be right on purpose and to @writebyaccident.
